How can my support make a difference?

Legal Aid Ministries does not charge for services and relies solely on the support of individuals, businesses, churches and grant providers.  Without your support we cannot provide stability and security to families in need.  Families like Elizabeth, a single mom, whose ex-husband filed an order of protection against her as a means of getting custody of the children and avoiding the payment of support.  Legal Aid Ministries’ intervention can help prohibit such domestic violence abuse.

Each year Legal Aid Ministries helps vulnerable individuals gain access to justice.  Whether single moms in need of support, single fathers seeking to establish a relationship with their children, elderly victims of fraud,  the disabled, minorities, those who speak a different language, and others in need of assistance with basic health and human services, Legal Aid Ministries is often the last hope.

Our pledge of "justice for all" can only be realized when low-income individuals have access to justice for secure housing, safety from abuse, protection from fraud, security in child support payments, and preventative legal education.
